Voice to text isn't working on my android device?

Android updates over the last 12-24 months has seen the voice to text function disappear from the keyboard. The reason can differ depending o nthe android device. Below are a couple fixes that may work:

1. Android/Google Gboard keypad. Download and accept permissions. Watch this video here.
2. Samsung keyboard. Activation button can be hidden by the navigation buttons on the button of your device. Head to settings --- display ---- navigation bar --- change from buttons to simple gestures to see the voice to text button. Your device may also show it with the buttons on but some may not. Also ensure that you activate "keyboard button on nav bar"
